WebKit Extensions

WebKit extensions are proprietary CSS properties that are designed to work on browsers that are powered by the WebKit browser engine, such as Apple Safari and Google Chrome. WebKit is an open source framework. WebKit is also the name of the Mac OS X system framework version of the engine that's used by Safari, Dashboard, Mail, and many other OS X applications.

Below is a list of the WebKit extensions.

Note that, due to the fact that these properties/extensions are proprietary, browser support is limited to those browsers powered by the WebKit browser engine.

Many of the WebKit extensions are being added to the CSS3 specification (albeit, without the -webkit- prefix), and it is recommended that you use the official CSS3 property instead of, or along with, it's WebKit counterpart.
